National Highways, the government company responsible for work to build 1.6 miles of a two-lane carriageway between Blofield and North Burlingham, recently laid the asphalt surface on a section of the new road.

And these pictures by aerial photographer Mike Page, along with drone footage produced by National Highways, show how the scheme is developing.

They show the newly-laid surface, as well as the pond which has been created to collect rainwater and keep water away from the road.
