Beccles-born Kevin Keable won the Lib Dem selection contest by a landslide - earning more than double the first-preference votes of his nearest rival from local members.

Mr Keable, 62, who lives near Norwich, said he wanted to stop Reform UK from "tearing this place apart with division and despair".

He started his career as an engineering apprentice in Great Yarmouth at 16 and has been chairman of the East of England Energy Group, the region's industry association for energy, since 2023.
