Norfolk farm manager defends bold new contracting venture - 45 miles from home
Michael Balls runs the agricultural operations at the Colman family's Crown Point Estate, based at Kirby Bedon outside Norwich.
The estate is also the Norwich Monitor Farm, part of a national knowledge-sharing initiative run by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB).
Mr Balls led a farm tour this week to explain his cropping decisions and the impact of the weather and the economy.
