First-time competitor's trophy joy as 'world's cutest sheep' make show debut
This year's event was the first to feature competitive classes for Valais Blacknose sheep - a Swiss breed whose shaggy mop of wool, curly fringes and matching black "knee-pads" made them a favourite among adoring show crowds.
And the competition also marked a first foray into the sheep rings for Leigh Nobes, a Norfolk farm manager who keeps a hobby herd of the animals.
He was stunned to win seven rosettes among his four show sheep - including three for Furzleigh Legacy, which was best shearling ewe, female champion, and reserve breed champion.........
