Dave Patterson, chef lecturer at East Coast College, was awarded the President's Tankard at the Aylsham Show for his "outstanding contribution to Norfolk food and drink".

As well as teaching students across the college's campuses in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, he is a familiar face at trade shows and events - including Monday's agricultural show at Blickling Park, where he gave cookery demonstrations in the Learn from the Land area.
