Landowners within the Wensum Farmers cluster group have been excavating a series of old ponds to expose the original seed bank and let them refill with water, plants and aquatic wildlife.

There are countless ​ghost ponds across Norfolk, many of which are former marl pits or livestock watering holes which were infilled for arable land reclamation in the 1940s and 50s.
