Developer Centre Port is expected to apply for the formal Development Consent Order (DCO) from central government it needs to build the £2bn structure in October, town councillors heard.

At a meeting on Wednesday Robert Corby, chair of the environment committee at Hunstanton Town Council said: "Things had started to progress in the last few days."

Mr Corby added the DCO would be to build the first phase of the project - a deep sea container port powered by hydro-electric turbines off the Lincolnshire........
