Anger is mounting in Heacham, near Hunstanton, over proposals to dispose of the site at North Beach.

Locals met at the weekend to form a Heacham Beach Hut Owners' Association to campaign against the move.

Members say it would see publicly-owned coastline transferred into private hands and fear it could be redeveloped in the future.

They hope West Norfolk council's cabinet will reject their own officers' recommendation to sell the site, which is home to 105 huts, when it meets on Tuesday,........
