Premier Inn is in talks with West Norfolk Council over buying a site near the seafront in Hunstanton.

The council's cabinet discussed proposals to sell off part of a car park off Southend Road at a closed meeting last week and details of the deal have not yet been made public.

But a council spokesman said: "We have been in discussions for a number of years with a national chain to build a new hotel with its own parking for Hunstanton,........
