Norfolk hospital under fire over 'non-binary' birth
A women's rights group says the decision by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn is "deeply concerning", because children are born with sexed bodies.
Women's Rights Network (WRN) Norfolk says the issue came to light after it obtained a copy of the hospital's application for a so-called Rainbow Badge from the NHS in 2021.
In the document - obtained in response to a Freedom of Information (FoI) request - it cited the birth of a child to trans parents as an example of how it provided inclusive maternity services for LGBT people.
It said: "An individual care plan was [initiated] for both patients (male to female/female to male)."
