Police said the area was "a medium to high-risk" crime area and officers were frequently called to both the park and the hospital grounds.

One said: "My team and I are regularly having to deal with persons on e-bikes and scooters, racing through both the park and the parking areas, we have witnessed near misses of both pedestrians and vehicles.

"I feel that fencing these car parks with the security fencing will remove........
