National Trust reveals latest Morston Quay plans after earlier vision sparked uproar
It has significantly scaled down its vision and abandoned its earlier idea of building a new visitor centre and office.
Instead, it is only now planning to knock down its toilet block and replace it with a new one.
The Trust's new regional manager Peter Nicholson told Morston Parish Council the proposed structure would be "considerably reduced in size from the original design".
He said any changes between the current building and its replacement would be "minimal" and that the new one would "not look in any way corporate".
