St Mary's Church at Docking is set to host its annual Hare Fair this weekend.

But the road which runs past the church is currently closed while the railings of one of the village's ponds are being repaired.

Parochial church councillor Martin Payne, one of the organisers of the event, said: "The highways department have closed Chequers Street in Docking for over a month to repair the village pond railings following a car crash a couple of years ago .

"I'm so worried people will think they won't be able to get here.
