Villagers rallied round to support the couple, named in planning papers as Mr and Mrs Harvey, after they applied to change the use of the property at Wood Farm in Congham, near King's Lynn, into a two-bedroom bungalow.

Their agent said they hoped to hand the farm on Keepers Lane over to their granddaughter and her husband, with the plans enabling them to live and remain on the land they had farmed for decades.
