The Discovery Zone is a hands-on learning environment designed to foster a deeper understanding of the vital connections between food, farming, the countryside and STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine) subjects.

Through a collaborative effort between the Food and Farming Discovery Trust (FFDT) and the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA), the Discovery Zone offers a captivating exploration into a food product grown in Norfolk.

This year’s theme is the lifecycle of malting barley – one of the region’s most abundantly cultivated crops.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to journey along the Malting Barley Trail, where you can uncover the intricate process of how this essential local crop is nurtured.

In partnership with Dewing Grain and Crisp Malt, the FFDT is curating the Malting Barley Trail.
