Plans for Chinese takeaway and children's play area by railway station refused
Applicant Jane Zhang has seen her application to change the use of Vauxhall House, a commercial building off Acle New Road near Great Yarmouth's train station, rejected.
One of the reasons the bid was rejected was that the borough council "seeks to transform Great Yarmouth's arrival experience" and "create strong urban form with distinctive high-quality architecture".
It said the plans for the vacant site, which the council says is "of poor design, utilitarian, unattractive and awkwardly positioned," offered an "opportunity" for the applicant to respond to the "buildings' existing poor qualities of form and appearance" but has "failed to do so".........
