Joel Howes, 37, was due to be sentenced for coercive control after he was convicted following a two-day trial at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court last month.

The trial had heard how Howes made his girlfriend of just three weeks cover the inking of Roman numerals referencing her anniversary with her former partner.
