Norfolk police forced to review controversial trans policy after Supreme Court ruling
The force introduced the protocol last year and defended in the face of fierce criticism at the time that it should provide single-sex spaces for women.
However, the police service has been forced to reconsider the policy following the Supreme Court verdict this week.
Judges ruled that when the term "woman" is used in the Equality Act it means a biological woman and does not extend to those who identify as women.
This now means that a person who was born male but identifies as a woman does not have a right to use a space or service designated as women only.
