Synglitiki Demetriou, known as Tiggy, said her pet, called Teddy, was "yelping" in both pain and fear as the "out of control" animal bit her dog's leg and refused to let go.

When it eventually did, the bulldog charged at Teddy two more times, leaving the Labrador cross staffy/ cross whippet with multiple wounds

The incident happened on September 4 in Marine Parade in Great Yarmouth.

"The dog charged at Teddy and got hold of my dog's leg and would not let go, I started screaming and shouting in a panic," Tiggy said.

Tiggy managed to intervene and grab the attacking animal's mouth, and eventually it let go of Teddy.
