For nine years, the premises on Church Plain was the constituency office of former Great Yarmouth MP Sir Brandon Lewis.

Sir Brandon did not run in the last general election, with Reform MP Rupert Lowe winning the constitueny.

Due to the the changes in the political landscape the building's landlord had decided to convert into a residential house.
