Staff at the Thickthorn branch contacted police to report their concerns about Henry Higgins, who went to the restaurant with friends in the early hours of August 4.

Officers stopped Higgins after the group received their food.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court heard the 19-year-old pilot, who works at the Norwich Aviation Centre, blew 98 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath at the police station — almost three times the legal limit of 35.
