In Gorleston and Great Yarmouth, frustrated neighbours say the late-night noise is relentless, with popping exhausts, engine crackles and deafening revs from boy racers keeping them up.

The racket echoes through streets into the very early hours of the morning.

Locals on Lowestoft Road in Gorleston say it is "every night" they hear vehicles tearing past.

"What I don't understand is that the Gorleston Police Station is literally on this road. They must hear and see it like everyone else does," one woman said.

"The cameras which have been put in key locations in Yarmouth just seem to bring........
