Manuel Pereira, 62, a former biology teacher, vanished after leaving his home on Nelson Road Central, Great Yarmouth, in the early hours of Monday, August 19.

A search was launched for the father of two sons, with his family joining police efforts to find him. However, after three weeks Norfolk Constabulary ended the operation, pending new information.

They have now confirmed Mr Pereira's body was found by a member of the public who owns a garage in St Mary's Court, a cul-de-sac around 100 metres from Nelson Road........
