Former lemonade factory converted into house now on the market
Located on The Street, the original lemonade factory was established in 1864 and was run by by the Pinchen family with a small team of around 15 employees, supposedly under royal patronage, according to the current owner.

The factory closed in the 1960s and was purchased by the current owner, architect Ron Heath, and his wife Pam in 1986 in a derelict state.
They designed it themselves and worked with a newly opened local builder, DM Construction, to completely transform the building into an upside-down house, adding new windows, a courtyard garden and converting the factory’s former office into a garage, which would later become a store and an extra bedroom.

When the local church was rebuilt, the owners salvaged three sets of double doors with stained glass inserts as well as some cast iron grating, which were bought into The Old Lemonade factory and can still be seen in the property today.
