The outline scheme, submitted by Mr J Pointer, proposed knocking down the disused station in Holt and building a cluster of three-storey townhouses on the site.

The proposal had drawn strong opposition from members of the public, including six living in nearby Woodrow Road.

They raised concerns about overdevelopment, privacy infringement through overlooking, loss of light, and the potential for more traffic on Norwich Road, which they describe as an already busy road.
