Man reveals fear after machete incident outside his home
Luke Carmen, 21, who lives in William Mear Gardens, has spoken out after his neighbour was arrested for carrying a large knife in public.
The April 4 incident, which was captured on Luke's home CCTV, unfolded shortly after Luke’s puppy, Axel, had run over to the man in a communal grassy area outside their flats.
Luke says he and his neighbour had previously been on good terms.
Luke said: “He just sniffed him, but my neighbour shouted, ‘Get your dog, man.’
"So I took Axel inside straight away.
“I thought it was over, but he came back out with a machete.
"I immediately locked the door and called the police.

"He was just pacing up and down outside - he didn’t say anything to me but it was clear it was aimed at me."
Luke said he got Axel to help build his confidence and........
