GP who enjoyed 'bringing order to chaos' retires after 30 years at surgery's helm
The 62-year-old, who is originally from Yorkshire, studied medicine at the University of Nottingham, where he qualified in 1985.

After joining a GP training scheme in Norfolk in 1987, he spent time working as a locum in Australia and New Zealand before returning to settle in the county.
He became a GP partner in Sheringham in 1995 and has lived just outside the town ever since.
