Dad's despair as wait for trial after son's death stretches beyond three years
Alfie Brown, from North Walsham, was cycling home along The Street in Swafield when he was struck by a Ford Ranger on August 10, 2023.
He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Two years on, his family has now been told the trial of the man accused of causing his death will not begin until November 2026 - more than three years after Alfie’s death.
Andrew Brown (l) and his son Alfie (Image: Supplied) At Norwich Crown Court on August 29, James Durham, 54, of Mundesley, pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. He was bailed to stand trial on November 23, next year.
