The ramp, which is used to access East Runton Beach and launch fishing boats, has been the site of several accidents, including a broken leg and falls involving children and elderly people.

A Facebook post warning of the hazard has reignited calls for action.

In the post, a woman described how an elderly couple fell on the slope in front of her, prompting her and others to rush to help.
