Car industry:Tesla eyes India's EV market but hurdles remain
US electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla began hiring in India last week, with the company advertising a dozen job openings on its website, including for a store manager and service technicians in both the capital, New Delhi, and economic hub, Mumbai.
The company's announcement comes after its CEO, Elon Musk, held a one-on-one meeting with the South Asian nation's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in Washington.
Tesla has been mulling entry into the world's most populous nation for several years, with media reports last year suggesting it was scouting for factory and showroom locations.
