Dear Auntie,I am a student and I finished grade XII this year. My aim is to become a lawyer because I believe it is a good profession for me and I want to get into a law school. But my parents do not agree with this decision.

They want to see me as a professor and are continuously urging me to accept their advice. They always remind me that they only want what is best for me but they are pushing me toward the career they want for me. Hence, it is not easy for me to stop listening to their advice. It is also tough for me to give up on my goal because I don’t think I will do well in other fields.

So, I need your advice on what I should do now. Should I obey my parents or do what I want, or give me some helpful advice on how to convince my parents?Student
