US president Donald Trump announced a swathe of tariffs on most of the world last week, and economists are predicting a "Black Monday" as markets and politicians across the world scramble to try to make sense of it all. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is expected to tell the country that "globalisation is over" as the government makes moves to protect British industry from the worst of the fallout.
