Lower House to vote on Milei’s pensions and disability funds vetoes

Argentina’s Lower House voted against President Javier Milei’s veto on a law passed last month that increased funding for people with disabilities.
It now goes to the Upper House, where two thirds of the Senate would also need to vote it down for it to be overturned.
In a session held on Wednesday, 172 deputies voted to overturn the veto, 73 voted against, and two abstained. The opposition will also attempt to block Milei’s vetoes on a pension increase and moratorium, and an emergency declaration Congress passed after the tragic flooding in Bahía........
