Francisco Cerúndolo will lead the Argentine tennis charge as the Wimbledon Championships gets underway in London. Seeded 16th, he is one of five male players from Argentina competing, with no female representation from the country at this year’s grand slam tournament.

The 26-year-old plays on Monday in the first round facing Portuguese qualifier Nuno Borges, whom he already beat in the same round in 2023 at this same tournament. If he advances, the Argentine could meet British player Billy Harris or Dušan Lajović of Serbia.
