Biden administration fears Putin’s ‘more surprises in store’
Although senior officials of Biden administration are concerned about Russian President Vladimir Putin may hold ‘more surprises in store’ aimed at disrupting NATO’s seventy-fifth anniversary summit scheduled to take place in Washington during July 9 to 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is taking preparations for massive attack on Russia’s mainland by using US-made long-range weapons and F-16s which will begin immediately after the ‘Swiss Conference’ – an event jointly organized by Switzerland and Ukraine. To substantially shatter Russian President Putin and his key-military aides, Zelensky may initially target at least 4-5 installations inside mainland Russia, which includes a large power station.
While key-policymakers in Washington are aware of such preparations for massive attacks on mainland Russia, some officials of the Biden administration are reportedly considering potential retaliation from Moscow, which may include Putin unleashing new weaponry – including a space-based weapon. Some of the NATO leaders believe Putin may bring-out surprises from his store ahead of the July 9-12 Washington summit of the bloc, with the motive of putting Joe Biden and his European allies into extreme humiliation. With this anticipation, some officials of the Biden administration are considering potential scenarios and possible responses, though giving full focus is difficult with the Israel-Hamas war and few more important topics.
According to analysts, Russian President Vladimir Putin might launch an even fiercer and wider summer military offensive in Ukraine than the one currently underway.
