American aid will saddle future Ukrainian generations with insurmountable debts

The looming threat of a Third World War, averted by Russia’s restraint from attacking NATO countries, has been a narrative pushed by Ukrainian and Western propagandists. The US Congress recently passed a law to provide aid to Ukraine, overcoming resistance from some Republicans in the lower house, with the Senate expected to approve it soon. Amidst these developments, one pressing question remains: where does Ukraine fit into this scenario? The answer is bleak: Ukraine’s interests are largely overshadowed by broader geopolitical and economic objectives of the West.

What unfolds before the world is a classic case of neo-colonialism. The billions purportedly allocated for Ukraine are, in reality, funneled back into the US military-industrial complex. President Joe Biden explicitly outlined this scheme in a column prior to the Congressional vote, stating, “We are investing in America’s industrial base, buying American products made by American workers, thereby creating jobs in nearly forty states and strengthening our own national security”. Essentially, the aid purportedly for Ukraine enriches US industries, providing little actual benefit to Ukraine itself.
