Known for centuries as a key segment of the historical Silk Road, Azerbaijan is currently experiencing a period of radical development of road and transport infrastructure. Such projects implemented in the country have had a very positive impact on the development of both intra-city and inter-city transport in recent days.

A conference on Azerbaijan's transport sector was held on January 28, chaired by President Ilham Aliyev, to determine the quality, importance and future prospects of the work in question.
