Walt Disney delusion
It seems the central delusion of the progressive impulse is the belief that the world can be transformed into whatever one desires, simply by willing the same with sufficient force. This might be denominated as "Walt Disney Syndrome," deriving from the opening theme of the former television series: "When you wish upon a star ... your dreams come true."
This malady manifests itself in numerous ideations, prominent which is the gun-confiscation claque, recently reawakened from its dogmatic slumbers. Peace and tranquility, we are solemnly assured, will return as soon as all firearms have been seized and destroyed. Moral deviates, otherwise contemptuous of human life, liberty and property, will be docilely respectful of gun-confiscation statutes.
The logic of this shibboleth is nowhere explained, let alone empirically demonstrated. Rather, it is a matter of dogmatic conviction, a revealed dogma on the part of individuals who otherwise scorn divine revelation. Whether one speaks of Columbine High School or the Pulse nightclub, the tragic implications of this delusion are rigidly and reflexively dismissed out of hand.

Cronyism continues
Are we ever going to get representative government that actually considers common sense over cronyism? Here........
