Celebrate together

Labor Day, a celebration of the American worker, emerged from hard-fought battles to improve workers' rights and working conditions. Our first holiday celebrating the achievements of the working class led to higher wages, a 40-hour work week, overtime pay, Social Security, health insurance, child protections and paid vacations. Workers have built the infrastructure of America and brought about economic prosperity.

Struggle and tension between labor and business owners has always existed. Workers want better pay/benefits while owners want more........
