Support Arkansans

To our elected federal representatives: I understand that you are under immense pressure to toe the line with your Republican Party and leader when you have to vote on legislation. I know that you would be targeted intensely if you were to vote in a different direction than your party. You would be "primaried" and your Republican Party opponent would receive significant financial and public support from Mr. Trump's party. I'm sure the pressure to not waver from the party line must be extreme.

But. You are our representatives in Congress. You are there to do what's right for Arkansas citizens, to protect us from the harm that may result from federal legislation. Recently each of you voted for a federal law that will cause great harm to a large number of us in Arkansas.

Here's my question: At what point does doing the job you were elected for by Arkansas, to look after us, outweigh your job security in Washington? I know it would take great courage to vote against your party line, and it may even cost you your job in Washington. But here's the thing. The primary reason for you to run the risk of these negative consequences is that it is the right thing for you to do. Protect those here in Arkansas who voted for you. I suspect that you would take pride and feel better in your heart by taking care of Arkansans rather than by voting your party line. I urge you to show this courage when it comes to the appropriations for this bill, and........
