Never again fascism – Never again war

On the anniversary of the anti-fascist victory
Eighty years ago, the unconditional surrender of the Nazi Germany marked the emergence of humanity from the horrors of the war shouting: “never again fascism – never again war”.
Fascism, the “terrorist dictatorship of the most reactionary, chauvinistic and imperialist elements of the finance capital”, grew in power and aggression due to the outbreak of the general economic crisis of capitalism and the parallel rise of the international labor and communist movement.
WWII stemmed from the general crisis of the capitalist system, the desire of the aggressive Axis powers to dominate and redistribute the world, and the concerted effort by the entire capitalist world to crush the Soviet Union and the communist “threat”.
The big imperialist powers (England, France, USA) – the “good Western democracies” of the time – not only did nothing to stop the rise of Nazism, but encouraged, strengthened and used it as a strike force to stop the communist and revolutionary movement across the world. They followed a non-interventionist policy in the Spanish civil war, they refused to align with the Soviets against the Nazis, they followed a policy of apeasement while Hitler´s hordes were occupying Austria and Czechoslovakia, they declared the so-called “phoney war” while the Nazis invaded Poland. The US and England were forced to enter the war only when its outcome was more or less imminent and the defeat of the Axis........
