Re: “Victoria changing streets to ­detriment of businesses,” commentary, July 30.

I have been meaning to write about driving in downtown Victoria; however, Bert Vermeer hit the nail on the head with his commentary.

How is a downtown motorist able to determine when a lane is suddenly blocked by parked cars when there is no sign at eye level advising us?

A sign is only on a short post hidden by the parked car.

Very perplexing and frustrating!

We have had nine years during which Justin Trudeau has been responsible for the deterioration of not only our ­standard of living but also the social ­fabric that holds the country together.

Now we see him dining with his new lady friend at one of Montreal’s ­finest restaurants, whilst more and more ­Canadians line up at food banks.

Enough already, please relegate this man to the back pages of the comics ­section; preferably no pages at all.
