A commentary by a Victoria resident

I moved into the Gorge East/Jutland area in early January, with little knowledge of the noise and disruption that I was about to endure.

First, they jackhammered all of the roads to install the new water mains, which they then loudly repaved. Ah, peace.

Then they jackhammered up all of the new centre pavement to install the boulevard beautification, which slimmed the four lanes to two, and then they noisily repaved. Ah, peace.

Then they jackhammered up all of the new pavement to install the new bike........
