County should have fired public defender

Once again, Schenectady County has to pay a settlement for one of its good old boys.

Stephen Signore should have been fired, not counseled, for his alleged sexist comments. If he says these things to female employees, what is he saying to female defendants?

Any woman not wearing high heels in the office is taller than Mr. Signore because he is lower than low.

Remove out-of-date traffic signals in city

With efficiency now the buzzword at the national level, perhaps Schenectady City’s Traffic Department could consider removing traffic signals whose need has diminished.

For example, at N. Broadway and Union, Broadway is one way in both directions leading away from Union, i.e.........
