Don’t let GOP tactics prevent fair election

The GOP and Joe Suhrada are up to their old tricks in Saratoga.

The party of “free and fair” elections is trying to steal the Public Works seat held by Hank Kuczynski on a technicality.

They are depending on you to not pay attention, and to not care about a special election. By playing politics, the GOP found a way for only their candidate to appear on the ballot. But we have the power of the pen and can send a message that we are paying attention.

First and foremost, we can go to the ballot and vote. Early voting has already begun, and Election Day is Tuesday, Jan. 28. When we go to the ballot, we can use our pen to write in Hank Kuczynski.

I have nothing against the GOP candidate, except he unfortunately is guilty by association. This is part of a broader strategy the GOP is executing across the country on school boards and in low-profile elected positions.

They are counting on you not to care and/or not to pay attention.
