Trump has come for me.

I thought it would take a while for his policies to trickle down to me personally. I was wrong.

Trump blocked outside communications from the most important federal health agencies, the entities tasked with tracking epidemics, ensuring food safety and advancing disease research.

I had a significant exposure to covid recently. How cautious should I be? Can I babysit my grandkid on Saturday? Not that I rely on the CDC for medical truths; I keep books full of herbal remedies and alternative advice on hand and consult with my surgeons, chiropractor, pharmacy and acupuncturist when relevant.

I look things up, compare approaches. I checked in with my doctor. But now, not only can’t I........
