Stark differences between presidents

Jimmy and Donald. Have there ever been two more different people?

Jimmy grew up in a small, southern farming town, the son of a peanut farmer, Donald in New York City, the son of a millionaire real estate tycoon.

Jimmy played with the African American children in his community. Donald’s father, a German immigrant and white supremacist, refused to rent to Blacks.

Jimmy graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, served in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets and in the nuclear submarine program. Donald dodged the draft because of heel spurs.

Jimmy once admitted that he had “lust in (his) heart” but remained faithful to Rosalyn until her death. Donald’s lust seems to be located elsewhere. He committed serial adultery and was accused of raping numerous women.

Jimmy was noted worldwide for his humanitarian efforts and awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Donald has said that he, too, deserves the prize (perhaps for separating immigrant children from their parents and holding them in cages?)

Jimmy wrote 32 books. Donald “wrote” a few books, mostly for profit and self-aggrandizement.

Jimmy was a Biblical scholar who taught Sunday school. Donald used the Bible as a prop, holding it upside down in front of a church.

Jimmy volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, helping build homes for needy people. Donald built hotels and golf courses and lives in a palatial tower with his name emblazoned in gold.

There are many more differences, but only one similarity: Both were elected our president.
