Trump backers need to be calm, respectful

After Trump’s re-election win, I had an unpleasant experience with two practicing Catholics and Trump supporters who expressed their rage, contempt and hate toward President Biden, the Democratic Party and anyone who didn’t vote for Trump, including me.

I initiated a pleasant verbal exchange with those two MAGA supporters on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. I said the following to the first one, “You must be happy that your man (Trump) won. I wonder why he’s not complaining now that he won the election.”

He replied, “It’ll be better now in the U.S.A. without evil Biden and no evil Democrats.”

The second MAGA supporter’s comment was via a text message. While we were discussing the difference between Trump and Biden, he wrote, “No offense, but you and all the people who voted for Biden’s........
