IF you were on the cusp of being the richest man in the history of the world, would you be tweeting about race in Belfast? I thought not.

Yet Elon Musk, the world’s first trillionaire, and a man whose fortune now outweighs the annual GDP of most countries, thinks that fomenting hatred and division in this obscure outpost of civilisation is a good use of his time.

Bonkers or what? Yet there is a reason why Musk, and the coterie of right-wingers who are currently in the ascendant, are investing their time and money in sowing division.
