Facebook privacy settlement checks start going out (again). How to know if you’ll get a bonus payment

(NEXSTAR) – Check your bank account, Venmo, PayPal and email: A surprise second round of payments is starting in the $725 million class action settlement over Facebook users’ privacy issues.

A judge approved the second round of payments because about $100 million of the settlement fund had been left uncashed.

The payments are expected to start Tuesday and go out “in batches” over the next four weeks.

Who gets another payment?

The bonus payments are being issued to more than 15 million people who successfully cashed the initial payment, court documents indicate.

That means if you got a payout last fall (when the first round went out starting in September 2025) and you cashed it or spent it, you can expect a payment at some point in June.
